Review of Hard Act to Follow by K. Vale

Hard Act to Follow (Shooting Stars, #3)Hard Act to Follow by K. Vale

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 solid stars

Part 3 of the Shooting stars series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone.

I had been looking forward to Greg and Kyries story, since we encountered them in Double Takes, and I wasn’t dissappointed. It was every bit as much fun, light hearted and sweet as the rest of the series.

Kyrie and Greg are best friends and ex-brother-in-laws, as Greg was once married to Kyries sister. They are both having non-friendly thoughts about eachother, without either of them realising how the other feels.

One drunken night of sex could have brought everything out in the open, if not for the fact that both of them decide to pretend they don’t remember what they did under the influence.

Normally I am not a fan of the big misunderstanding trope, but Ms. Vale makes it work in a way that makes sense in the context. So it ended up working for me. Greg and Kyrie are great together, both as friends and lovers and I was really rooting for them.

I can warmly recommend this series for a rainy day read, it’s all feel good yummy romance.
