Toby and Chris have been friends forever. As Toby’s mother left when he was a child and his father lives in his own little world, Toby has been a part of the Baxter family for as long as he can remember. And crushing on the older Baxter brother, Levi, for as long as he has known he was gay, unfortunately Levi is straight and have always been a bit of an asshole towards his younger brother and Toby.
Now in college the two live on different sides of the continent, but still keep in touch and Toby still visits Chris’ family during the holidays. On such a Christmas break he goes out dancing only to encounter a very drunk Levi at a gay club.
This was a lovely coming of age story. There is angst and a bit of drama, but mainly it’s a story focusing on finding out who you are and who you want to be. Warmly recommended.
